MxLTS - SMARTFOREST
WEATHER STATIONS
If you've made it to this site, you may have found one of our climate stations.
This equipment was set up under our Mixedwood Long Term Study as a part of Smartforests, a Canada-wide network of forest monitoring plots. Climate stations were set up on 10 of our MxLTS sites to collect spatiotemporal data on soil and climatic conditions to help us understand how forests respond to climate change and other environmental stressors.
Each climate station has an air temperature and relative humidity sensor, a
- air temp and rh, par sensor, rain gauge, sunshine sensor
